Education Garden

May 6, 2021 — Education Garden Report

Many improvements occurred in the Lee County Education this past week.  Texas native plants were added, including pollinator plants to attract wildlife.  Already, butterflies and hummingbirds have been seen in the Garden.  Several annuals and perennials were also added.  Lowe’s Home Improvement donated soil, compost and raised beds.  Debbie Kinas assisted with her knowledge of landscaping design.

Plans for the Education Garden is for the garden to become an educational garden serving the citizens of Lee County.   The Garden is in Giddings, at the corner of South Grimes and East Industry.  If you are interested in helping with this project, call 979-542-2753.  You can watch for updates about the Education Garden on the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service – Lee County Facebook page.
